Dean Davis has been Head Professional at Hinksey Heights since 2003. He is a member of the European Golf Teacher Federation and a fully qualified Master Teaching Professional. He is now coaching around 70 children each week at his academy. He holds two busy weekly ladies clinics as well as running his summer camps during the holidays. Dean's diary is extremely busy throughout the week teaching begginners through to advanced players. He is currently coaching and developing 6 talented young golfers, 2 of which are women. In the space of 6 months he has lowered their handicap from 12 to 6! The other talented golfers play on the Euro PGA Tours.

In 2002 he developed and launched the Tee 2 Green Academy which is running successfully here as well as two other golf clubs.

Indoor Teaching Facilities

The facilities all add to the excitement and enjoyment of being able to learn or practice golf covering all aspects in a relaxing and friendly place in beautiful surroundings.

The Driving Range is all the more suited to realistic golf practice, since it is out in the open, you set your tee and ball up as you prefer and from May to September at Hinksey Heights you play off grass rather than mats.

Indoor Analysis Suite

We are currently refurbishing the shop so we can teach indoors. We are fitting an indoor putting green and indoor video analysis suite. So why not book up to see your swing on video!

Our indoor teaching centre will benefit the advanced player as well as the complete beginner. We will have mirrors positioned on every wall so that your swing can be viewed from as many angles as possible. There will be a driving net complete with roof and sides so we can give you tuition as though you were outside . You will also have the benefit of being able to see your own swing with the pro sat next to you telling you how to fix your faults. Video cameras are positioned around the room so you can capture your swing and putting stroke to help lower your handicap.

The indoor putting green will also be available to use to groove your stroke helping you to get rid of any of those unwanted 3 putts.

We have also purchased an Explanar swing trainer to help improve your game and to fix your swings faults.

Lessons will start from £35.00 for an hour. You can choose from either a putting lesson or long game (swing mechanics) lesson. Dean can also do a package deal which consists of 3 x 1 hour lessons for £85.00. All lessons include a CD of your swing.

Junior Academy

The "Tee2Green" starter centre is one of the largest and most successful in Oxfordshire and consists of three development levels. Each level is rewarded with a certificate allowing young golfers to record their achievements as they progress through the Junior Academy.

Courses run on Saturday, Sunday and weekday evenings and give young golfers the opportunity to:-

Learn the game of golf
Improve their skills
Understand the rules and etiquette of the game
Achieve a good standard of golf
Make new friends

This is the fun and exciting new way for girls and boys to start playing golf. It's guaranteed to provide the very best possible start in the great game of golf. What's more they don't have to be a member of the Golf Club to join in, nor do they need golf clubs to get started. 8 week courses are open to all from the age of 5 to 16.

Kids' Parties

Dean also offers birthday parties for children. The parties are suitable for kids of all ages and abilities. We have all the equipment needed for a great time. Our team have extensive experience of coaching children to give your youngsters a great FUN introduction to these games! We look after everything leaving you free to relax. We usually allow 1 ½ to 2 hours for the party.
