PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE PAYING YOUR MEMBERSHIP FEES WITH A CREDIT CARD THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF TWO AND A HALF PERCENT ADDED TO THE COST, THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR DEBIT CARDS, AMERICAN EXPRESS IS NOT ACCEPTED.

Golf Lockers

If any member wishes to keep their clubs at the golf course throughout the year there are now a limited amount of lockers available for rental for the year. We currently have 6 lockers (3 of which are already hired out). If there is a demand for more lockers they will be ordered. The yearly rental cost is £50.00 per year, the lockers are located in the men's changing area.

If you wish to hire a locker please see James in the reception area or email comp@oxford-golf.co.uk.

Wednesday night roll ups are back on while the days are longer. If you would like to join us for a friendly 9 holes in the evening please arrive in time for a 6pm tee time.

Men's Flag

Congratulations to David Milne on winning the Flag. David managed his shots perfectly to finish with his final shot going in the hole on the 18^th. With every round of the year that would sound obvious. For those of you unaware, the Flag gives you the course Par (72 shots) plus your handicap to get as far round the course as you can. Often the winner will start back on the 1^st hole.

Captains Drive In

There were a few surprise results at the Captains Drive In this year. Firstly the sun was out and shining down on everyone, which was a welcome change to the last eight months of miserable weather. Secondly, and slightly less surprisingly the winners of the event were:

1st place - Chris Thornett, Dave Leak and Dan Nolan.

2nd place - David Milne, Russel Matthews and Martin Wilkinson

3rd place - Len Silver, Henrik Anderson and Iain McGlade

Winter Singles Knockout

Congratulations go to Gary Whitehead for winning this years Winter Singles Knockout.

Central 7's

It's been a solid start this year for the Central Sevens team with two wins out of two.

The team got off to a shaky start with Jake Dines and James Bowler both losing the first games against very strong opponents. Thankfully Dan Croad gave the team the push it needed winning the third game pulling the score back to 1-2.

From then on it was a one sided affair with Gary Whitehead, Richard Kershaw and Chris Williams all winning in style giving Hinksey Heights the guaranteed win. The last match saw Iain McGlade lose making the final result a 4-3 win and placing Hinksey Heights joint top of the league.

The next match is April 27^th at Silverstone Golf Club.

Sunday roll-ups - All Sundays without a competition will have the usual roll-up times booked for anyone wishing to get a round of golf in.

Summer Competitions 2013/14

The entry sheets for this years major singles and pairs events have been placed on the competitions board and will be available until the end of 13^th April 2013. The draw for the first round will then be published on the website and competition board the following week.

CLUB DIARY 2013

The 2013 Diary is now up and running on the Members page - please note the main changes to the diary are-

• Mid-week competitions now alternate formats month to month between Medal and Stableford
• Ladies Captains Trophy (originally scheduled for Saturday July 13^th) has been moved to Sunday July 14^th
• The Ladies Caddyshack Trophy (Originally scheduled for 11^th May) has been moved to 28^th July
• CAPTAINS DAY HAS BEEN MOVED BACK ONE DAY TO SATURDAY 22^ND JUNE. This has switched with the Ladies Freeman Trophy, now on June 23^rd

Captains Away Day June 2013 - Silverstone Golf Club

The captains for the new 2013/14 season have already been hard at work organising an away day for the Members of Hinksey Heights Golf Club.

The date for the event will be 8^th June 2013 with the first tee time being 11.30am, the day will cost £30 which will include coffee and a bacon roll on arrival, longest drive and nearest pin prizes as well as individual prizes for the top three stableford scores. To ensure a place we will be asking that full payment is made in advance of the day. To sign up please see James at reception.
