Hinksey Heights Club House
Hinksey Heights Golf Course is renowned for the friendly atmosphere, which everyone comments upon. A recent review of applications for membership gives the friendly nature of the club as the most common reason for joining.
A fine example of this is 'The Caddy Shack', the Club House for the members and visitors, but in fact a 200-year-old single story barn which provides a comfortable atmosphere in which everyone using the golf courses and the Nature Trail can relax. It's rustic feel with exposed beams and golf memorabilia give a cosy style that appeals to all.
There is a regular menu of hot and cold items including salads in season and a range of home-made dishes ranging in price from £4.95. Special arrangements are made for visiting societies in order to ensure that they have the perfect day. Indeed, 'The Caddy Shack' prides itself on being one Club House in which visitor's requirements are catered for with particular attention to detail.
The Spike Bar and Lounge area run down to the restaurant that can cater for moderate sized parties and for events following competitions, as well as private social events including weddings and birthdays. In the summer months a marquee is available for those who would like to enjoy the views of Oxford and the main course, whilst having a buffet meal for that special occasion in a setting away from the normal restaurant environment.
